Florin: Absolutely! I’m Florin Croitoru, Operations Manager & Owner at MDC Logistics. We’re leaders in the Express Delivery business. DriverUp: In a nutshell, what does MDC Logistics do?
Florin: We specialize in getting things where they need to go, fast. We offer services like same-day, next-day, and special-dedicated deliveries using our versatile fleet of vans and trucks. Whatever the job, we’ve got the wheels for it. That’s our new slogan! DriverUp: What were some of the challenges you faced before using our TMS?
Florin: Tracking everything with phone calls and pen & paper was a struggle. We often lost PODs or failed to deliver them to clients on time. Any haulier company knows it can get chaotic. DriverUp: How has DriverUp helped tackle these problems?
Florin: DriverUp has revolutionized our operations. The EPOD system is user-friendly for our drivers, and clients can now track deliveries easily through the Customer Portal. Job allocation is now a breeze, and we don’t worry about unfinished jobs. The mobile app has greatly improved communication between Operations, Drivers, and Clients. It’s probably the most practical tool in our TMS. DriverUp: Has any feature of DriverUp been particularly helpful to your team?
Florin: The Organiser module has been a game-changer. It simplifies scheduling and vehicle assignments for our drivers. For the Accounts team, the job verification feature speeds up invoicing and reduces errors. Everyone has found something to love. In short, it’s made everyone’s job easier. DriverUp: What have been some of the tangible benefits of using DriverUp?
Florin: Our customers are happier with the transparency and efficiency we’ve gained, which has brought in more business. We’ve even expanded our fleet. All in all, we’re thriving. DriverUp: Have your customers noticed any improvements since you started using DriverUp?
Florin: Definitely. They appreciate being able to track deliveries and see the POD immediately on the Customer Portal. Receiving an email with the POD as soon as a job is done has enhanced their experience. It’s about more than just getting the job done; it’s about delivering a superior customer experience. DriverUp has enabled us to do just that. DriverUp: Lastly, would you recommend other hauliers to get a TMS?
Florin: Absolutely. Ignoring tech advancements is a mistake, especially with the constant evolution in AI. If any haulier isn’t using a TMS, they’re making their lives unnecessarily difficult.
